We are so happy we found Derouin Concrete for our recent project - Oct 2019. Finding a qualified contractor, experienced in stamped concrete, and willing to travel to Allyn can be challenging. Contractors who specialize in this type of work are typically concentrated around Seattle. Joe Derouin personally came to our home to bid the project and spent considerable time discussing our vision and the challenges of the slope, grading, propane fire pit placement and water movement. As the son of a contractor, my husband learned most of the construction trades at an early age and has high expectations when hiring contractors. We tackle most project ourselves and understand material and labor costs. Derouin was the second contractor to bid our project and was very reasonable for the scope of this project.

The vision for our project was to convert a tired, sloping golf cart path, block fire pit area and sad block wall to a stamped concrete patio, seat wall and walkway. There were several challenges with this project - connecting the parking pad to the walkways, replacing a side door landing and stairs, balancing the fire pit patio with the new deck stairs and connecting to the lower covered patio. We were fortunate to have the week slated for our job to be dry and were able to complete the project on time and on budget.

As other reviewers have stated, Joe and his crew are the best! They are very hard working, enjoy their craft and are very polite and personable. They were always courteous about parking and moving vehicles when needed and did not impede on our daily lives. The yard and work area was always cleaned up at the end of each day and they respected the HOA rules for contractors.

We highly recommend Derouin Concrete. With our walkway and patio/fire pit, we can more fully enjoy our property throughout the year.

Derouin Concrete did a wonderful job for us; they came out and gave us a good bid, came out on time, quickly did their work, which was perfectly done, cleaned up, and came back to check on their work after it dried. We would be very happy to recommend them.

We are so pleased how this stamped concrete driveway, porch and steps project looks! Joe Derouin is a perfectionist and had such a vision for this job. I was very specific about having a dark gray color concrete and he delivered it perfectly! It turned out 100 times better than we could have imagined, Joe and his crew were punctual and so hard working. We walk out and admire it countless times each week. Joe at Derouin Concrete was fantastic to work with. He is professional, capable, reliant and totally pleasant to work with. He poured a shaped concrete base for a sculpture I installed for the State of Washington. He knew his way through the process and made it seamless to me. I will definitely be working with Derouin Concrete in the future.

I would recommend Derouin to all of my family and friends. Joe and team treated my house like their house. Their work was exemplary. The project was completed on budget and on time. Joe checked in with me regularly on progress, he worked with me to solve problems and was incredibly respectful of my family and my home.

We had Derouin pour a topping slab and curbing in our basement. They also painted the walls with two coats of Drylok. We were dealing with issues of underground streams penetrating our basement. I'm happy to say, with creative thinking on Joe's part, we have a completely dry and beautiful basement floor now. Joe came up with a creative approach and was more than willing to work until we figured it out. And for you women out there, his entire team is a joy to work with, no patronizing remarks. You are the client, and you're treated with respect regardless of your gender or age.

Joe at Derouin Concrete just got done doing a 30'x50' concrete slab for our RV cover.

He did a fantastic job for us, it turned out great! His crew was professional and they got it all done ahead of schedule for us. He is definitely good at what he does.

My husband I would highly recommend him! And we will be using his services on all our future home projects that require concrete work.

They completed the work on time and went the extra mile to ensure the job was done right. I had a front porch job that needed the old concrete removed before pouring a new front porch. They removed everything and it was a lot of work. This company also does large jobs such as schools and other large jobs, but nothing is too big or too small. Thank you Joe,
